Commodity Burlap Coffee Sack

This is the real deal, straight from Yemen. We buy our coffee in 60 and 64 kg sacks. The empty burlap sacks are great for all sorts of projects, whether that's framed art, a Christmas tree skirt, or upholstery for a bench.

Basic Sack you get a lot:

  1. One cool (empty) coffee sack with English and Arabic commodity notations. Bag may have a ~12" - 24" slash on one side. That's how we get the green coffee out for roasting. (Trying to muscle an amorphous 140 lb sack upright aint good for the back.) You'll find random green beans in the bottom.
  2. A bonus, extremely basic (empty) burlap commodity sack with minimal notation. Only some coffee comes in super cool bags. Will probably also have a slash and a few green beans too.
  3. Two roasted coffee samples, relevant to the sacks your purchased
  4. An awesome letter from Al Mokha's owner, Anda. The letter will tell the story of your sacks and how the coffee samples are directly related.

Framed Sack, you get everything above plus: We custom frame the sack for you. (about 26" x 34") in a selection of hardwood frames. We'll reach out to arrange the details.

  • You also get 4 x 12 oz bags of coffee, 4 x mugs, and 11 x Yemen art greeting cards

Special requests? Shoot us an email or put them in the order notes. Sacks pictured are examples but what you get depends on what we have available.

Very disappointed - in fact feel swindled From picture advertising, thought I was getting coffee and not a piece of sack and plastic (which went into the rubbish bin) for which I paid US$128.95 (A$182.76) I feel utterly conned

I want one (or ten) in every color

The coffee is amazing (duh) and worth every cent. But what's even more amazing is the customer service. It's what I imagine it would feel like to live in a tiny town and be on a first name basis with all the shop owners. There is always a personalized note and often an extra little something. Anda is really offering you the Yemen experience. I had the privilege of visiting several years back and the warmth of Yemenis (and their interest in feeding you tasty things) is without bounds. Let alone the beauty of their country, which is reflected here in the packaging, materials, and general aura. Yemen is a country of great potential and I am grateful to Anda for creating this opportunity for Yemen's coffee industry and spreading a bit of Yemeni magic.

Loved the Matari Mountain Beans & Burlap Sack!

My first experience buying from Al Mokha was excellent! Everything arrived in time for the holidays, and the Matari Mountain coffee was even better than we expected. I think the coffee sack will make for great wall art. Looking forward to reading more Yemen updates and making Al Mokha my go-to coffee supplier.

Love the Burlap Coffee Sack

When I received the coffee, burlap coffee sacks and the personalized handwritten note , I was completely thrilled. As having been posted to Sana’a, Yemen, I enjoyed the coffee and through Al Mokha I can continue to enjoy. I plan to take the sacks and frame them for display. Thank you for all you do!

Super Cool

I am a fan of both DIY projects and reusing items and materials that would otherwise be tossed aside or thrown out. These sacks fit both bills perfectly. I have not used them for any projects yet, but am wavering between a cushion upholstery for an entry bench and possibly a simpler wall hanging. I saw a local retail coffee shop using these as an exterior cover for their stainless steel trashcans, and thought I might try to incorporate these into something like that as well. Both of the burlap sacks I received were pretty neat, and when combined with the plastic freshness bag, I was able to better explain the transport of the beans to my kids and explain how many miles those bags and beans had traveled to get into our home. These products are both cool to look at and tell a tale. I appreciate the opportunity to purchase these, and will do so again in the future once I come up with another use for them.
